The Stanley Wedding | August 11, 2018
After spending a long 206 days on opposite sides of the world, we were united in marriage in the woodsy mountains of Maryland before God, our families and friends standing under an arch that William, Britt's father and her younger brother built together. There was a 90% chance of rain on our wedding day, but the skies stayed clear except for a sprinkle of good luck rain at the end of our ceremony where our moms each read a special letter to us, we broke bread and drank wine to begin our marriage centered around Jesus, we read our own vows, Britt made promises to her soon-to-be step daughter, Mila and our officiant cracked a lot of jokes. All of our DIY decorations came to life and looked just how we pictured them in our heads.
August 11, 2018 was the most special day full of lots of laughs and overwhelming happy tears. We both got to marry our soul mate, Britt became a step mom and it meant the world to us to see all of our loved ones in the same room celebrating our love story and crying right along with us. UGH WE ARE STILL EMOTIONAL! God knew exactly what He was doing when He led us to each other. We are now living in Italy, traveling the world together as newlyweds.
